New Jersey Notes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 1. Jockey Charles Pennock, nephew of the late Herb Pennock of baseball fame, who was something of a sensation hereabouts as an apprentice, has returned to the Camden course and will ride out the remainder of the meeting. He will do most of the booting for the stable trained by O. L. Hunt. Pennock is a native of Camden. Carolyn K Stables Jersey King, a candidate for Garden State Parks William Perm Stakes, was on the training track Saturday morning for a trial spin. The juvenile son of Attention went three furlongs from the gate in :38%, breezing. Apprentice John Salvaggio, currently campaigning at Garden State Park, will journey down to Pimlico on Monday where he is scheduled to ride in seven races. The lad will commute between the Camden and Baltimore courses during the next few weeks.
