ONE PLAY showed good speed from the beginning, but faltered when roused for the stretch run. CAP ROCK moved up with a rush along the inside rail to take command between calls on the far turn, then flattened out. UP GRADE had no mishap. BELLBROOK was never dangerous. DIAMOND LANE moved up boldly on the outside on the final turn, reached the lead inside the stretch and, under good handling, held WISCONSIN BOY safe. The latter made the pace to the stretch while racing in the heavier portion of the track, gave way to the winner during the late stages, then held on to be easily best of the others. KALIMERA came out for the drive, but was not good enough. SECOND AVENUE failed to stay. DJYMY and INDIAN GOLD were always outrun. AUNT JAYNE Z. was through after a half mile. MR. PILATE quit badly. FAUGHABALLA, keen factor from the start, entered the stretch with a short lead, continued willingly under urging but was not good enough for the winner, although much the best of the others. HALCYON BLUE raced prominently to the final furlong, then faltered. BROGDEN could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. MELVIN made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then weakened.
