Navy Opens War Games WASHINGTON, D. C, April 30.— The Navy opened extensive war games today in the Western Atlantic to test its antisubmarine defenses in the area. The maneuvers, covering a three -week period and involving about 100 ships, hundreds of aircraft and about 50,000 personnel, will be held in areas stretching from Cape Race, Newfoundland, south to Cape Hateras, N. C, and east to Bermuda. Britain Reverses Policy LONDON, England, April 30. — Britain has decided to drop its opposition to the bombing of Manchurian bases if the Reds step up their air activity in Korea, official quarters said today.
