LUCKY C0DINE was under restraint for the first six furlongs then made a timely move on the outside to challenge FALSE successfully in the stretch and win narrowly under pressure. FALSE was also close to the early leaders and taking command when they began to weaken, held on well when put to the test. LITTLE FLOWER was a trailer early but improved her position when urged to best the others. BATTLE H weakened after chasing CLEAR DAY in the first five furlongs. BOO BOO SHOO broke well but was unable to keep up and was not prominent after the first half mile. CLEAR DAY tired. BARBAZURE was under stout restraint for the first half mile but responded willingly when called upon to take command after leaving the backstretch and drew away easily in the run home. JUNIOR WOLF took over after going a quarter and drew out but was no match for the winner although best of the others. DEEP WATER went evenly. FIRST TENET failed to be dangerous. POIGNANCY tired. FANCY FESTIVAL plodded along evenly. SPANAQUA was far back throughout. The others dropped out of it when the real racing began. TENTH RACE SUBSTITUTE DECLARED OFF.
