REDUCE saved ground while a sharp factor, went to the outside to displace SPA and won fully extended. STEVIE DEAR was slow to reach best stride and had to be steadied nearing the turn, improved position from the outside when clear and finished resolutely. SPA quickly took a clear lead and came to the inside, then faltered in the final furlong SAILED AWAY forced his way between horses to improve position and tired in the drive. ETERNAL LIGHT lacked speed and lost some ground. REPUDIATE was outrun. REBEE tired, as did CHILD WONDER. INSTRUCTION was shuffled back on the inside nearing the turn and failed to rally. BATTLE RAIDER came to the rail before reaching the turn, swung wide entering the stretch, remained a trifle wide for the drive and dead-heated for first with FANCY TALK. The latter, always prominent, went through on the rail in the stretch to engage the leaders and finished on equal terms with BATTLE RAIDER. REDINGOTE vied for the lead on the outside, was forced wide entering the stretch and faltered in the late stages. UTOPIA was forced to race wide much of the way. GARDEN WALL tired. SEGMENT went between horses on the turn to reach the lead and drew out under mild handling. GOLUPTIOUS raced forwardly placed on the outside, but cculd not menace the winner and worked cut a mile in 1:42%. STAR PRINCE saved ground and had no excuse. STRIKE OUT was slow to begin and came out of the race sore. CHALL WIND was rushed along to be a sharp contender early and tired. NEW WONDER was well placed under restraint, came to the inside nearing the far turn, took up to prevent striking the heels of TEMM rounding the final turn, found room in midstretch and, while on the rail in the drive, outgamed THOMAS EDWARD. The latter established a clear lead and came to the inside before a quarter mile, bore out slightly on the far turn and entering the stretch and missed in a good effort. MOON MARK moved up on the outside to threaten and gave way. CLICK caught tired horses with a belated bid. TEMM tired in the drive HEXTON had no mishap. JOAN ANNE K. was through after a half mile. ARMELLE, eased back to save ground on the backstretch went up on the outside of the winner to be on nearly even terms for the lead and just missed. MEL HASH a sharp factor from the outset, went up on the outside of the top pair to reach a slight lead and faltered in the late stages. CHANCELING saved ground and had no mishaps.
