AIR PATROL was hustled to the front early, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, but was ridden out to retain the advantage RIGHT JAB lacked early speed, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and finished determinedly, but could not reach the winner. ENGAGED worked way forward steadily, held a good position entering the stretch but could not be persevered with during the drive where his rider lost stirrup irons. OMABERRY far back to the stretch, was blocked during the drive and could not get to the leaders. BUBBINS was outrun MISS DACE raced well to the stretch, then tired. BLUE BADGE, prominent to the last eighth, gave way nearing the finish LANDS END, on the inside throughout, had a rough trip. CONVICTED began fast, but tired after showinq 3 earlv ■ speed. CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. UNCLE EMERY, in hand while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, finished strongly when hard ridden in the drive and was up to dispose of LITTLE DANNY in the last sixteenth. LITTLE DANNY went to the front at once made the pace to the last eighth and held on gamely, but could not hold the winner. HAY ELSIE forced LITTLE DANNYS pace to the final furlong, then faltered. MESABI, in close quarters approaching the stretch was sent to the outside to secure racing room and then finished strongly SUNNYMAN raced evenly until inside the stretch then weakened. BOLD ARROW, roughed immediately after the start and crowded leaving the back stretch failed to rally when clear. GENIAL JACK had a rough trip. Overweight— Hay Elsie, 2 pounds. Attendance, 25,000 Estimated; Total Mutuel Pool, 99,725.
