Both French Guineas Races Taken by Favorite Horses PARIS, France, May 14 Reuters K— Favorites won both races for the French Guineas today at Longchamp. Marcel Bous-sacs Djelfa, by Djebel — Cynthia II.. survived an objection to take the Poule Dessai Des Poiuliches — Thousand Guineas fillies race — by a neck from Bouselle, who got second place after a photo finish with Stratonice. Simonetta led the field of nine runners until reaching the straightaway, where Stratonice moved away. First a challenge from Bouselle, and then Djelfa moved up and in a thrilling finish Djelfa got a neck decision. In the Two Thousand Guineas colts race, Poule Dessai des Poulains, Free Man, by Northman— Fantine, beat Le Plessis by a length, with Le Nord another two lengths behind in the field of seven. The winner is owned by Jean Stern, owner of the French champion three-year-old. Sicam-bre. Boussacs Liberator made the early pace but tired in the straight run where Free Man went to the front and resisted a challenge from Le Plessis.
