Battlefield Comes to Belmont Today to Seek Swift Stakes BELMONT PARK, L. I., N. Y., May 14.— Trainer Bert Mulholland of the George D. Widener Stable, stated today that the three-year-old Battlefield will arrive at Belmont Park tomorrow morning. The colt will face the starter in the Swift Stakes, the offering for three-year-olds on Wednesday with jockey Eddie Arcaro in the saddle. Battlefield will not fulfill his engagement in the Preakness for trainer Mulholland stated that his charge is not up to such a severe test. The Belmont Stakes will be the colts main objective at this meeting. George D. Widener, master of Erdenheim Farm, inspected the colt over the week-end at the farm and was highly pleased with his condition and progress in recent training.
