I ; 1 I i i i Johnston Becomes Free-Lance GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 14. — Veteran reinsman Daniel John- ston, who rode a particularly fine race in winning the Colonial Handicap here on Saturday astride Max Kahlbaumns Risk A Whirl, announced this morning that he has severed his connections with the stable owned by James C. OHara, and will ride through the remainder of this meeting as a free-lance. The parting was amicable.
