Breed Pair to Epecuen SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 14. — Fred Preece, popular New England owner and trainer, reports that he has bred Harsam and Native Rose to his new stallion, Epecuen, at his Pumkin Farm, Darthouth, Mass. Epecuen is a nine-year- old son of Requiebro — Posie, by Cannobie and was imported to this country from Argentina. Preece acquired Epecuen last year after it was decided to retire him from competition because of unsound underpinning. The South American was a speedy campaigner in his brief career since coming from his native land.
