Field of Seven Entered In Elyria at C ran wood woodBob Bob o Nick Expected to Rule Favorite Off Ascot Good Races RacesCB CB AN WOOD PABK Warrensville Heights Ohio June 10 The Elyria Purse at six and onehalf furlongs headlines the wellbalanced program which is up for decision here tomorrow afternoon The race is for threeyearolds and any member of the sevenhorse field may be claimed for 2250 2250Bob Bob o Nick from the stable of Mrs B E House comes off two powerful races at Ascot Park and appears to have a slight edge in this event Although this son of Cape Cod only broke his maiden on May 28 when he defeated Forever Agnes by four lengths going seven furlongs he was one of the most improved horses at the Ascot meeting After breaking his maiden he came back on June 6 and surging to the front inside the furlong marker drew clear to win by five lengths under a drive by jockey Dale Dew Time for that race was 122 over a sloppy track which is considered good time Infern a bay daughter of Incoming Leah Fern won her last race at the Akron oval after leading throughout most of the seven furlongs Her margin was a length and onequarter over Croton Boy and though she was tiring near the end she managed to liold sway under a nice ride jy Johnny Cruz This race being a sixteenth if a mile shorter should be very much to tier advantage advantageGolden Golden Grip trained by Bobby Myers had one race over the Ascot track and wound up third beaten a length and one half for all the money by Vincibelle and Colonel Barker In that particular race Golden Grip gained the lead soon after the start held sway to the furlong marker and then weakened Before shipping to the Buckeye State Golden Grip had been at Wheeling Downs where he won two races and was second in another In all this sea ¬ son he has been on the board six out of seven races and stands a good chance of winning the major share of the Elyria Purse PurseSydney Sydney H had several good races at Ascot Park but is much better suited at four furlongs and may tire badly in this event The same may be said for Cheriful while it would appear as though Flag Maud and Devil Free were a bit over their heads here
