Jockey Applebee and Family Lose Belongings in Mishap . FAIRMOTJNT PARK, Collinsville. HI., May 6. — Jockey Alfred Applebee, who has ridden at many local meetings, intended accepting mounts on the opening night-program but the popular reinsman met with a set-back and it may be another week before he and his family reaches the local scene. Applebee notified Tod Creed, the local track announcer, that while on his way here from Golden Gate Fields in the family car and trailer and accompanied by his wife and two children, a flash fire at Guy-man, Okla., destroyed the car, trailer and, "all of the Applebee belongings. The reins-man, in his telephone conversation with Creed, said practically everything was cov-1 ered by insurance.
