MAMAS BOY was steadied along within striking distance of the early pace, began moving up in the last three-eighths, gained a slight lead when reaching the stretch and fought it out stubbornly. SHYNO had good speed from the start, disposed of LUNSFORD for the lead and, fighting it out gamely, just failed to hold on long enough and lasted to hold CORDATE. The latter, slow to begin, obtained clear sailing on the inside when working her way to the front and, responding gamely to punishment, was along in the closing strides to gain a dead heat with SHYNO. HUSTLE ALONG, away fast, dropped back, then moved up willingly. BAG O WIND, well placed, was unable to make up any ground under urging. HEADMISTRESS closed a good gap in the last eighth. TRAGGAT was taken under slight reserve after gaining a forward position, .straightened out in the back stretch, moved up gradually on the outside, fought it out with MY WO in the" entire last quarter mile and outlasted the latter at the end. MY WO had speed from the start, disposed of NABOB for the lead and, saving all possible ground through the stretch, fought it out in determined fashion. DIAN, well placed, came gamely and was along in the last stride to wear down NABOB. The latter had speed from the start, was much used in an effort to go along with the leaders when challenged and faltered during the closing test. BEAVER COUNTY was unable to reach the leaders. HALLIES PLAY, unruly at the post, was started outside the stalls. She was unable to threaten during the running. Scratched— 734243Linas Son, 111; 73274 Sun Fighter, 113. .
