GUINEA GOLD moved up closest to the pacesetting ALFRED BOULDER at the half way mark and heading him in the final sixteenth had enough left to hold GIN „T0NIC. The latter came on the outside of the winner in the stretch and was pressing him. ALFRED BOULDER went to the front early to set the pace and held on fairly well. FREE TOO was going steadily at the end. KAYS CHILDREN saved ground but was not good enough. BARBAREBA tired. Overweight— Barbareba, 31 pounds. Free Too claimed by B. MEDINA COUNTY headed ADAR after going a half-mile and, saving ground while racing strongly and with something in reserve, outfinished ULTIMATUM, after having been headed by the latter a sixteenth out. ULTIMATUM forged into a short lead in the last sixteenth, but had little left ROSE OF GREY turned in an even effort, as did LITTLE DON G. ADAR tired badly. The others were never prominent.
