LONG RUN improved his position with a rush in the first quarter, disposed of WILDOLIVE on the stretch turn, then swerved badly while holding on gamely to outstay PROSE AND POETRY. The latter raced close up from the start, was forced to alter his course when the winner swerved in the Stretch and, saving ground in the final eighth, finished gamely. SUNNY PAL raced wide most of the way. but finished fast. BUSTLING raced well. OVERBOARD began slowly, but rushed into a contending position and tired under pressure. WILDOLIVE had early speed.
