COPPER SON kagaa slowly, was outrun in the early stages, but cained ground entering the stretch and almost got up to wear down the winner. niLIMUS CIIA1IM. also outrun to the stretch, finished fast, saving ground on the inside and outfinished THISTLE SPRAT. POCKET MOUSE forced the pace and held on well throughout. FRANK D. worked his way up gradually and. finishing gamely, got up to head REALTY in the last few yard*. REALTY saved ground where possible, gained gradually and ran a good race. BRUSHING quit after setting the pace to midway of the stretch. MAZZIE tired in the last eighth. BRIGHT PLC ME also quit after showing early speed. NANI-HAWAII took the lead, set the pace under restraint to the stretch, then drew away and easily held OCEAN CURRENT safe at the end. OCEAN CURRENT, off slowly, raced far back of the leaders for the first three-quarters, closed an immense gap and was rapidly wearing down the winner. EDITH GRAY, a factor all the way. held on well in the final drive and outfinished NORTH BREEZE. The latter had no mishaps and ran a good race, but tired.
