I LATONIA TURF NOTES f LATONIA, Ky.. June 27. Trainer W. Taylor has returned H. P. Head leys Coral Beach and Dark Entry, both two-year-olds, to Beaumont Farm, to be turned out. Coral Beach was taken ill following his last race, but is now on the road to recovery. E. C. Anthony reports that, due to the unsatisfactory condition of the horses he has here for H. Massy, he will be required to keep them at Latonia for several weeks after the close of the meeting. Quite a few of the horses are sick. Following the local meeting, F. P. Leb-llier is shipping his big string to Churchill Downs, whore they will remain inactive until the resumption of Kentucky racing next fall. This morning he worked the Southland Stables All Upset and Ring True, candidates for the Cincinnati Trophy, and following their trials was undecided about sending them after the stake. All Upset went five-c-ighths in 1 :03, driving, while Ring True, also ridden out in his work, went the same distance in 1:01%. C. H. Trotter disposed of two horses this morning. J. McKeon obtaining Dearborn and Dubbs, and Runnells purchasing Buntings Maid. J. N. Camdens Sydney this morning hid his final preparation for the Cincinnati Trophy when he went three-quarters in 1:16 very easily. Otto Torrell purchased the two-year-old. Supreme Sweet, a daughter of High Time — Miss Jazbo. from Joe Patterson. The youngster was shipped here from Lexington and has been taken over by Cliff Porter. The division of the Clark stable leaving here tomorrow for Arlington will be in charge of Harry Saladin. Jack Baker will transfer the others to Arlington at the close of the local meeting. Trainer Howard Wells today engaged jockey Willie Fronk to go to Arlington Park to ride Howard Oots" Illegitimate in the American National Handicap. Following that engagement Fronk will return here. The Huntingdon Stable suffered the loss of the plater Tempest, which had to be destroyed, due to an incurable foot infeition James McGee is leaving Friday for Arlington lark and will campaign his racers over the Chicago tracks for the remainder of the summer.
