i t TORONTO RACING NOTES ?! $ and Jockey R. Mozer is the most recent addition to the rider ranks, having arrived from. Maryland Thursday. Mozer will do the riding for the J. E. Smallman stable during the Canadian season. Owen Pons is shipping London Rock, Turkeys Neck and Bold Robin to Woodbine from Ravenna, Ohio. Bill Baines is now en route from Havre de Grace, Md., with the platers Irish Maiden and My Betty. A. Gaignard is bringing Song Hit and Bide a Wee to Woodbine, while M. Good-paster, coming along in the same car, has Meander, Paddock and a juvenile which has yet to face the barrier. George Foley will also arrive in a few days with Reflecting and Friar Cliff. Otto "Brick" Torrell is another that plans a Canadian campaign the first time in a number of years. The Seagram Stable, which arrived at Woodbine Thursday from winter quarters, reports that Yellow Wagtail, Kidlet and Black Lad, the latter a Kings Plate nominee, were left at the farm and no effort will be made to train the trio. Before leaving the farm Bachelors Skipper was disposed of to the mayor of Gait, Ontario, who intends to use him for a saddle horse. The most impressive move of the spring training season took place at Woodbine Friday morning. Trainer Harry Giddings, sending the two plate candidates Queens Way, and Sky Gazer a mile in 1:42%. Jockey A* Ridgeway was astride Queens Way, and apprentice Colin McDonald piloted the McLaughlin filly. Both W. R. Cowie and R. S McLaughlin were on hand to witness the move. Giddings also sent the three two-year-olds Romp Ridge, Happy Hopes and Ro-marc three furlongs in :34%. Other works from members of this stable were Froth Blower, going in company with Deduce, went five-eighths of a mile in 1:02. Roche DOr and Sweeping All also went five furlongs in 1:02. The juvenile Cartwheel, Prince Rupert and Golidian have all bucked and will be given short letups. P. Mulhall brought Balai DOr, Bonnet Piece and Illumination to Woodbine from. Dufferin Park. The two Canadian-bred platers Seapen and Humberside, the property of J. Miller, which are stabled at Dufferin Park, are both reported as having gone amiss. The string of J. C. Fletcher, local sports-" man, arrived at Woodbine Saturday morning from their owners farm at Downsviewj The members brought to the Ontario Jockey; Club course are Lindsay, Pampered Pet* Dushka, Little National Clarry and Perla-pides of the older division, and the two-year-olds Our Sonny, Crown Jewel, Heap Good, Chisai, Old Fashioned and Quetoi. Perlapides is being put back into train-* ing again for the first time since 1930. Trainer Jack Givens is looking after the training of the stable and jockey Frank Madeley will do the riding. Trainer Charlie OLeary of the Queen City Stable, sent word to Woodbine that he is anxious to get in touch with a steeplechase rider to report to him at Hamilton. Jockey F. Bellhouse, who was with OLeary, was called to Pimlico by his contract employer R. H. "Specs" Crawford. The Seagram Kings Plate candidates were called upon Saturday morning for their first real work since coming to Woodbine. Shady Well, with jockey Eddie Legere up, and King OConnor were sent a mile handily over a muddy racing strip in 1:48, with Shady Well several lengths in the van at the finish of the trial. Thorncliffe Stable platers were sent a mile Saturday. Bronze, Wentworth and Serfman, were caught in 1:49% for the eight furlongs. Puckchaser, Conny Smythes Kings Plate candidate, died a couple of days ago at Thorncliffe Park. Jockey "Dude" Foden has been offered the mount on Fred Schelkes Miss Gormley in the Kings Plate. Three stalls have been bedded down to receive the thoroughbreds of Thomas M. Glass-co, which are en route from Windsor, OnL The star of the string is the province-bred Pat Gaiety. The thoroughbreds of D. Garrity and C. Smythe, which have been performing at Jamaica, have been shipped back to Woodbine. It is expected that they will arrive on Thursday. Geneseo Stable may come along at the same time. The Conny Smythe string, which has been quartered at Thorncliffe, will be vanned to Woodbine Thursday
