Gilbert let down for a while, but he is now back in his best form, as evidenced by his twelve winning mounts last week. His number of winners is now 109 for the year thus far, and he gained five winners over Gilbert Elston. The latter did well, too, during the week, scoring with seven of his mounts, which put him within easy striking distance of the hundred mark. G. Smith had eight winners last week, as did J. McCoy.
