Y., May 10.— Announcement was made yesterday of the forthcoming dispersal of Mapleton Stud, the property Carstairs and Pierce, located at Malvern, Pa. The sale will take place at the farm Monday, June 6, and will be under the management of E. J. Tranter, president of Fasig-Tipton Company. At the head of the stud is the stallion Tryster, son of Peter Pan and imported Tryst, a daughter of St. Amant, winner of the Derby, 2,000 Guineas, Jockey Club Stakes and other races and a great sire of stakes winners and dams of stakes winners. Tryster won 02,000 on the turf. Among the mares to be sold are daughters Man o War, Broomstick, Friar Rock, Bubbling Over, imported North Star IIL, High Time, imported Sun Briar, imported Traumer, Sweep and other leading sires in America and daughters of such English sires as Bachelors Double, Sunspot sire of The Beasel, Sunstar, Roi Herode and Myram, the majority with foals at side by Tryster, imported Sun Briar, John P. Grier and imported Epinard. Included in the sale will be an even dozen yearlings by Tryster from the mares referred to above. * «
