DEEP BEACH, close up from the start, finished well and was easily second best. LADY DISKIN clung to the rail entering the stretch and closed resolutely on the inside. NANNA-MORE raced well. SEDREG, close up from the start and saving much ground all the way, went to the outside of BY WIRE in the stretch, wore down the latter and raced into a clear lead, was hard pressed, but withstood NO FUN. The latter, well placed from the start, was not good enough. BY WIRE set the pace and tired. ARHA WANNA, away rather slowly, came through an opening and closed a gap. PRINCESS CEUTA, slow to get going, saved ground to the stretch, but went very wide and swerved in the stretch when her rider was struck in the face with a clod of dirt, but easily wore down the leaders. SUN THRILLS worked his way up on the outside and ran a winning race. BAY LAD quit. PELAIKA closed a big gap from a slow start. BLIXTRA saved ground throughout. HOKUAO raced DON ALVARO into defeat, drew clear at mid-stretch, but failed to last. TACHES, far back earlv, closed a big gap. DON ALVARO tired. RED CHILI was blocked twice. KING AT ARMS loomed up dangerously in the stretch. BURTON AGNES tired. MORTIME quit badly.
