I SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES I 5 I I $ e A. S. Eastman has taken first call on apprentice _ Emil Delmado. The youngster can n scale as light as 100 pounds and should obtain . plenty of mounts. J. B. Churchill is s looking after his engagements. Jockey George Seabo, who sustained a fall II in the second race Friday, was unable to o resume riding Saturday and was forced to o cancel his five mounts. James Buchanan, trainer for Mrs. J. Law-lor and William S. Leggat, arrived with the e horses How, Gumtree and Dick Bennett. t. How races for Mrs. Lawlor, while the latter x two carry the colors of Mr. Leggat. Jockey C. Hanauer, who is probably the lightest full fledged rider in the world, had his first mount of the meeting on Lady Calistoga Saturday. Hanauer tips the beam at eighty-six pounds with riding equipment. J. B. Theall, trainer for the Lone Star Stable, who journeyed over from Aurora, viewed Saturdays sport from the club house. Four horses of Knebelkamp and Morris and in charge of trainer J. Umensetter were given stable room here. Adalor T., Harry Kuhns and Jack Murphy will be under colors Tuesday. Jockey Gregg White and apprentice George Seelman were granted privileges to ride. Clyde Freeman, who has nine of his own and three for Bert Baroni at Lincoln Fields, was a visitor. The entire stable of Knebelkamp and Morris arrived at Sportmans Park, and several entries have been made for Wednesdays races. The string is trained by J. Umensetter. Several stables from Churchill Downs will arrive at Sportmans Park Wednesday. Included in the list are W. C. Weant, one of the most successful owners of the winter season, with his string of sixteen horses, and C. A. Bidencope with eight. Bidencope is a well-known figure in Chicago turf circles, many of his horses having raced at local tracks in seasons past. In his stable are Estin, Jeff ONeil and Prince Megan. Wise Ann, winner of the Nursery Stakes at Hialeah Park, is Weants best. Jockey R. Allen was fined 5 for fighting in the jockeys room. Judge Clifford Abbo, whose efficient work during the Jefferson Park meeting last winter earned him a place among the Bain-bridge officials, was a visitor Monday when he stopped off en route to Cleveland from Louisville, where he witnessed the running of the Derby. Judge Abbo reports that the entry of Burgoo King and Economic was obtained for the Bainbridge Derby, which will have its decision June 4 and for which nominations will close May 28.
