I LEXINGTON TURF NOTES 4 A book of colors registered with the Kentucky State Racing Commission was issued today. It contains a revised list of all colors eligible to be used on the Kentucky tracks in the names of all persons who have paid the usual fee of one dollar for registration. The list was compiled and the book prepared by Miss Louise Wilson, assistant to secretary Thomas R. Underwood of the commission. It will be very helpful to all who are interested in the sport in Kentucky. Copies can be had on application at the offices of the commission, Parlors A, B and D, Phoenix Hotel, Lexington. Major Louis A. Beard Thursday morning announced that the yearlings belonging to C. V. Whitney will be shipped from the Whitney farm here Friday morning to the Brook-dale farm, Red Bank, N. J., where they will be broken and prepared for training by T. J. Healey. C. Stanley Hudson, Lexington representative McFerran Sales Service, stated today that arrangements had been made to hold a paddock sale at the Latonia track Saturday, July 23. Consignors may apply to Mr. Hudson or to C. W. McFerran, Jr., 314 South Sixth Street, Louisville early Friday morning. The output of yearlings of C. V. Whitney farm here will entrain at the farm to be shipped to Brookdale Farm, the Whitney estate at Red Bank, N. J., where they will be broken and trained for racings The shipment will include nineteen .fillies and fourteen colts.
