During the absence of Max Hirsch, John Loftus saddled Barcelona Pete for the fourth race Thursday. Fred Frankel, St Louis sportsman, arrived for the remainder of the eastern season. Merritt "Happy" Buxton returned from Chicago. He stated that Economic is out for the remainder of the year. He will be returned from Chicago Sunday to Aqueduct.
