Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. MARCASITE worked her way up on the outside and, responding to pressure in the stretch, finished fast and wore down the leaders at the end. MOMO, outrun to the far turn, came through on the inside entering the stretch and finished resolutely. JAMISON overcame early interference, challenged gamely in the stretch, but tired at the finish. FILTER drew into a long lead, saved ground and had no mishaps. FLASHING COLORS went to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch. AXENTEA challenged gamely entering the stretch, then quit. NIGHT PATROL droppd back after the start. MACK SENNETT tired under urging. HAGGERSON had no mishaps. STEPSISTER quit badly. Scratched 84322 Porters Dream, 107; 85233 Chartres, 108. . IRISH BULLET moved into command with a rush, jumped well and, rated along under steady restraint, responded to pressure in the final sixteenth and outlasted CHERRY BRANDY. The latter was restrained early and, moving up when called upon, came between the leaders near the final jump, but was carried slightly wide near the finish. BLOT was a forward contender and jumped well. BLUE BANNER, outrun until the final half mile, was not good enough. ERIC THE RED, closer up than usual, tired. MY CARE had no mishaps. CAVALCADE, slow to start, came through on the inside entering the stretch and finished well. STAND PAT showed good form and had no mishaps. BONANZA, on the outside of the leaders from the start, tired at the end. "WARGRAVE had no mishaps. TIME CLOCK began slowly. MAINE CHANCE raced green. LONGFORD raced strongly from the start. ST. OMER, on the outside of the leaders entering the stretch, had no mishaps. POMPOSITY dropped back early. EASY DAY tired. CARBON had no mishaps.
