CONEY ISLANDS GOOD CARD Two Handicaps Head Mid-Week Offering at Cincinnati Ding Bin to Make Ohio Debut. CINCINNATI, Ohio, Aug. 8. The mid- week program to be offered at the Coney Island course of the Cincinnati Jockey Club here tomorrow is one of the most attractive to be offered in the West this season and by far the best of the current meeting. Two handicaps, the Cheviot, for three-year-olds and over at one mile and seventy yards, which will serve as the fifth, attracted such star performers as Peggy Lehmann, winner of the Cincinnati Handicap here Saturday, Ridgeview, Reveille Boy, J. A. Bests American Derby winner, Bright Bubble, Sweep-rush, the Illinois Derby winner, Morsel and Judge Judy. The Glen Este Handicap, the sixth race of the day, at five and one-half furlongs will mark the Coney Island debut of the F. L. B. Stables Ding Bin, which will making his first start since winning the Cincinnati Trophy. He opposes Counsellor Crane, Silver Sun, Tendril, Cotton Club, Brustigert, Captain Henry, Brown Toney and Hard Boiled. Ding Bin is assigned the top weight of 118 pounds, with Counsellor Crane next at 113 pounds. To Reveille Boy fell the high weight of the Cheviot and his assignment of 116 pounds is eight more than that to be carried by Morsel. The weights scale down to the improving Judge Judy, which carries the light assignment of 9? pounds. The five other races drew good fields, the best of which meet in the six furlongs third race. This attracted Abdel, Thistle Play, Anna Adelia, Running Water, My Blaze, Pat C, I Pass, Slapstick, Ep, Thistle Dee, and Plumage. The first mile and one-quarter race of the meeting is the cards seventh. The field will be dispatched from the quarter mile chute and eight were named for this. Although the track was slow from the rains Tuesday morning, it should be in good condition in the event of no more rain. However, mud performers are in the majority and more drenching would have little effect on the program.
