PROBABLE END OF DORVAL PARK MONTREAL, Que., Aug. 8. When racing came to a close at Dorval Park Saturday afternoon, it perhaps marked the closing of the plant as a race course. The meeting, which was marred by unfavorable weather conditions, from a financial standpoint is a dismal failure. The Dorval race course has nevr been a paying venture, and this season has been the worst that has ever been experienced at the Lake Shore track. The attendance for the seven days was small, while the volume of play in the mutuel machines amounted to little over 00,000. The spring meeting cost the owners of the plant about 5,000, while even more was lost last week, it being estimated that the deficit was close to 0,000.
