LADYKIN, starting slowly and remaining far back for half a mile, improved her position fast on the outside and, wearing down MONKS BELA, won drawing out. The latter, hard ridden from the start, drew into a good lead in the stretch and held on fairly well, but was not good enough. HOBNAIL saved ground most of the way and tired in the closing sixteenth. RUMMOND showed good speed, but quit badly in the stretch. WOODY SIMON had no mishaps. OUR SANDY closed well. KEATON was done early. FLYING PILGRIM began poorly. Overweight Rummond, 2 pounds. CCC J. GENERAL PARTH, away slowly when his rider was caught, napping, raced wide when improving his position fast in the final five-sixteenths and went to the inside near the end. OWEN, away fast, but unable to keep up, reached a contending position with a rush and .tired in the late stages. DURGA, hustled along from the start, showed speed, but tired badly in the closing three-sixteenths. INDIAN SALUTE showed speed. MASKED PRINCE and NONA quit. Scratched 85305 Polyorno, 107. Won handily; second and third driving. i BURNING UP worked his way clear when saving ground in the first quarter and, steadied along on the turn, drew away under mild urging in the stretch. HILLSBOROUGH, starting slowly and in hand for half a mile, closed resolutely under strong riding. GRAND PRINCE began well, appeared to sulk briefly , after being impeded by MONKS FIRST on the far turn, but raced kindly in the stretch and held on well. MONKS FIRST showed speed, but bore over slightly on the far turn and tired in the closing eighth. TRY j KING was taken up repeatedly under a poor ride. LIGHT UP, well ridden, saved much ground and, closing gamely, outlasted ESSIE WESSIE. The latter, on the outside most of the way and brought up with a rush in the stretch, tired in the closing strides. DAN SABATH lost ground. TECHNOCRACY had no mishaps. POSTSCRIPT bore out badly on the far turn. IMA COUNT quit badly. PRINCE DRAKE began in a tangle and had little chance. CAMP DOUGLAS, racing improved and lucky, came fast while saving ground in the stretch and, withstanding a long drive, outgamed ROYAL BLUNDER in the closing strides. The latter, strongly urged after three-eighths, came through on the inside of MONEL and HOPE TO DO entering the stretch and fought it out stubbornly. MONEL forced a fast pace, was forced almost to the center of the track by HOPE TO DO on the stretch turn and tired after getting to the front. BAND WAGON, on the inside throughout, neared the lead as HOPE TO DO and MONEL went out on the stretch turn, but tired in the drive. BUBBLER had - no mishaps. TARNISH, taken back repeatedly in the first five eighths, moved up with a rush on the stretch turn and, while no match for the winner, held on well. BATTLING ON jogged off a quarter from a false start, showed speed, but tired in the stretch. ANNIMESSIC lost much ground. TACK, away slowly, did not threaten. UNCOMMON GLD, taken to the front and well rated, came away on the stretch turn,- but weakened after reaching the final eighth. CAPTAIN ED also saved ground throughout and weakened in the stretch, but outstayed DON TASKER. The latter, under strong urging after half a mile, faltered badly in the closing quarter.
