i ! I I I j 1 MOUNT ROYAL PARK NOTES | Jockeys B. Marshio and L. Laurin arrived from Syracuse Friday morning and will remain until the conclusion of the Montreal season. Trainer William Durnan has taken over the horses of J. U. Gratton. Gratton intends to add to the strength of the stable in the next few days. I. S. Shafer will leave for Cleveland, Ohio, at the conclusion of the Mount Royal meet-! ing and will campaign at Bainbridge Park. The switch in the dates of Kings Park and Ottawa has been approved by the Province of Quebec Racing Association. Kings Park will open Saturday, July 21, and Ottawa has been set back to August 11. At the meeting to be held at Kings Park, entries will close at the usual time, 10:30 a. m. Scratch time will be 8:30 a. m. and the secretarys office will be open Thursday morning for the convenience of the horsemen. Jockey J. Wood was fined 0 by the stewards in the opening race Friday for failing to ride his mount out and striking her over the head. The stable of J. C. Patchett left for Fort Erie Saturday morning and will ship from there to Niagara Falls. ยป
