KINGS HORSES FAVORITES Special Cablegram. HAMILTON PARK, England, July 14.— King George started four favorites her* today. One, Slam, captured the Larkhall Plate at 4 to 11. Another, The Abbot, finished third of six at 11 to 10. The other two, Convent and Whitehead, were unplaced. Slam carried 124 pounds and won driving to the end by three lengths over Rowland Ranks Corrielair, which with 128 pounds up was conceding the winner four. K. Wilsons Metal was third under 121 pounds. They were the only starters. Corrielair was 10 to 1, and Metal 7 to 2.
