BUTLER SALE ON AUGUST 21 Stallions Questionnaire and Sting to Be Auctioned by Fasig-Tipton Company at Saratoga. NEW YORK, N. Y., July 19.— The Fasig-Tipton Company announced today that the breeding stock, the property of the estate of the late James Butler, will be sold at Saratoga Springs, August 21. Two sires, about thirty brood mares and the yearlings and foals of 1934 will be offered. The stallions are Questionnaire, 1927, by Sting— Miss Puzzle, and Sting, 1921, by Spur —Gnat. Sting won the Suburban, Empire City, Excelsior and other handicaps. His son, Questionnaire, won nineteen races and 9,611. His victories included the Empire City Derby, Brooklyn, Metropolitan, Pau-monok, Kings County, Empire City, Scars-dale, Twin City, Yorktown, Yonkers, Broadway, and Mount Vernon Handicaps, Mt. Kisco Stakes, and he finished second to Gallant Fox in the Lawernce Realization, second to Mokatam in the Suburban and third to Gallant Fox and Whichone in the Belmont. The horses in training owned by the late sportsman were sold at auction during the Belmont Park spring meeting. -A 1
