BIG CROWD AT BAWBRIDGE Otterrop Takes Measure of Lucky Prospero and Just High. » Manifold in Good Ride on Molay Colorbearer — Starkist Is Victor in Second Race of Day. GEAUGA LAKE. Ohio, July 1.— A large crowd was in attendance for the afternoons sport at Bainbridge Park today. Ideal weather conditions prevailed with the thoroughbreds competing over a fast track. The Vacation Shares Preferred Claiming Purse brought out a good band of nine sprinters that vied for the major end of the purse, which was scheduled as the fifth event and featured the program. The sprint at five and one-half furlongs resulted in the colors Of S. J. Molay being carried to victory by Otterrop. Second went to Lucky Prospero, and Just High saved third from Captain Joy. The early stages of the sprint saw the early leaders closely lapped with the winner ] not being asked to extend himself by jockey H. Manifold. After eight straight favorites met defeat T. Roots three-year-old, Kyso, refunding .60 for , defeated a limit band in the second race. Hourless Wonder saved second place from Gay Follies. The winner, energetically ridden by jockey J. Leyland, came wide turning into the stretch, but was taken to the inside reaching the final furlong, and responded well when hard urged, and drew away to score by a length more. H. C. Munsons colors were carried to victory in the third race when Starkist was an easy winner over Dorothy Hicks, which saved second place from Lady Ethel and nine others.
