ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES I $, Q Jockey Glen Haines, fully recovered from his fall with Miss Trooper last Saturday, is slated to return to the saddle Thursday. He has been engaged to pilot Waterset, High Image, Honeysweet, Forewarned and Dancing Mack in their respective races on Friday. The stable of J. Badame unloaded at Rockingham Park after an uneventful trip from Fort Erie. The good handicap performer Khorasan is the star of the string. Race Street, which contributed in delaying the start in the third race on Wednesday, has been placed on starter J. Miltons schooling list. W. J. Norton, trainer of Mrs. J. H. Whit-neys string at Rockingham Park, motored to Saratoga to school the jumpers that he has stabled at the Spa. He will be back in time to saddle Enthusiasm in the Me-thuen Purse on Friday. Cantine Lass, a carded starter in the opening event at Rockingham Park Thursday, developed colic and was excused on the advice of the track veterinarian. Jockey R. "Sonny" Workman departed for Chicago to pilot Today, the C. V. Whitney crack juvenile in the Arlington Futurity. Nate Smith, Lowell contractor, plans to enter the ranks of the owners. He expects to purchase several performers during the Saratoga meeting and will campaign at the fall meeting at Rockingham Park. R. Howell; attached to the stable of F. A. Carreaud, accepted his first mount of the meeting astride De Valera in the fifth race Thursday. F. A. Carreaud purchased the contract on the lad from B. B. Rice, while racing at the Detroit meeting. «
