1 DETROIT TURF NOTES 1 $, -® C. M. Jaegers, who is taking over the division of the H. C. Hatch stable quartered here, arrived from Fort Erie and assumed his new duties. Mrs. A. J. Abel is taking a contract on Donal Fay, a California lad. Fay has been galloping horses for more than two years. Between the running of the third and fourth race Friday a race for stable ponies will be run. It carries a 00 purse and will be decided at three-sixteenths of a mile. Former riders who have not been licensed in 1934 will ride. There will be no betting on the race. C. W. Damon unloaded eight horses the property of J. G. Langs Elmtree Stable, and W. Zakoor unloaded two head. They came from Fort Erie. H. G. Knott arrived from Fairmount Park with Dee Tees.
