DADE PARK INAUGURAL AUG. 4 Many Improvements Being Made at Popular Tri-State Course — Horse Colony Increasing. HENDERSON, Ky., July 25.— Dade Park is being completely renovated for the coming twenty-six day summer meeting, which will have its opening day Saturday, August 4. Thousands of dollars worth of improvements are being added to the western Kentucky race course, which is becoming more popular with each seasons racing. Dade Park was one of the few tracks in the country that showed a profit last year. This week a public address system is being installed at the track and will be used for the first time at the coming meeting.. Loud speakers will carry a complete description of each race to every part of the grandstand and grounds. In the past the approximate odds board, timers stand, and the mutual pay-off prices have all been separate. A stand that will house all of them is now being erected directly opposite the finish line. Lester E. Yeager, associate manager, announced today that more than 400 horses will be quartered on the grounds by Saturday night with an additional 100 coming next week, taking every available stall. A large number of horses arrived this week from Latonia. A number of stables are due in from Canada later in the week. There are more two-year-olds in training at Dade Park this summer than ever before in the history of the track. The horsemen are taking advantage of the new starting gate and are training their young charges to get off in a hurry. * ,
