A. F. GOODWIN KILLED IN FALL NEW YORK. N. Y., July 25.— Augustus F. "Algy" Goodwin was killed in a fall from a horse which he was riding at his estate, Hamilton, Mass., Tuesday. Goodwin was founder of the Eastern Horse Club and a prime mover in the enactment of favorable legislation and a proposed track in Massachusetts. He raced horses for many years, among them Land Boy, an outstanding fencer. Goodwin was widely known among hunts and racing folk and during the Brookline meetings entertained twenty to thirty guests for the season. Goodwin is survived by his widow, their daughter Frances, and a step-daughter.
