He failed to have his entrant, second race Wednesday at Arlington for his entered price of ,200. Nix and Hunter claimed Style Corner out of the third race at Detroit Wednesday for 11,200. Carlaro is the first horse of the New York racing season to pull up unsound after being claimed. The four-year-old son of Carlaris was cut down badly when running in the colors of M. Gaudio. a right rear tendon being almost severed. The B. B. Stable drew Carlaro out of the claiming box for ,000. Royal Leon and Unkie Tom changed hands after the running of the sixth race Wednesday at Arlington, when J. Dine took the former, while Mrs. Paul Kelley got the latter. The claiming price in both instances was ,000. Wise Ways became the property of R. T. Watts when he claimed him from Strath-more Stable out of the fourth race at Arlington Park Wednesday for his entered price of ,750. Chickahominy was claimed at Rockingham Park Wednesday for ,000 by J. D. Mikel. Mrs. C. Holland claimed In Motion out of the first race at Detroit Wednesday for ,200.
