j BOWIE TURF NOTES js John Banks Campbell distributed among the horsemen at Bowie the list of nominations for the major stakes to be run during the twenty-one day meeting of the Metropolitan Jockey Club at Jamaica, Long Island. Fifty-seven nominees were received for the Faumonok Handicap, the opening feature. Sixty-five for the Wood Memorial, forty-three for the Excelsior Handicap, and one hundred and thirty-three for the Youthful Stakes.- For the convenience of "Daily Double" patrons, Joseph B. Boyle, general manager of the Southern Maryland Jockey Club, ordered ten additional wickets installed in the main betting, pavillion. On Saturday, closing day of the meeting, thirty-two wickets will be in operation and selling will begin at an earlier hour. Weights for the Faumonok Handicap will be released by racing secretary J. B. Campbell at Bowie on Wednesday. Fifty-seven horses will be weighted for this important event. rts .
