1 1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES 4 Charles F. Henry, who will serve as racing secretary at Alamo Downs, received the first issue of conditions for that meeting, which commences Thursday, April 25. Apprentice Paul Rickeycamp, a Dallas youth, who is under contract to George F. Jenkins and E. Robinowitz, had his first mount on Cloister Blues in the second race Tuesday. His wrist thoroughly mended, jockey Nick Wall resumed his riding Tuesday afternoon. Wall received a broken wrist during the Hialeah meeting and the injury prevented him from riding C. N. Mooneys Ted Clark in the rich Santa Anita Handicap. Former jockey "Sonny" Greenberg stopped off for a days racing en route from California to New York, where he reports to the F. A. Carreaud stable. Herbert M. Woolf and A. Miller, prominent Kansas City sportsmen, and H. Nourse, manager of the Dreyfuss stores at Dallas, were early morning visitors Tuesday. Messrs. Woolf and Miller plan to remain for several days of racing. Apprentice Kirby Hebert accepted his first mount of the meeting Tuesday. The lad, who is a cousin to Sidney Hebert, is under contract to Johnny Theall. O. L. Foster is dividing his stable after the close of this meeting. Foster is sending several horses to Alamo Downs in charge of Abe Jessop, and he will take the others to Dallas. At the close of those two meetings, the stable will be reassembled for a New England campaign. Dr."C. N. Finch, who has Pat C. and Paul T. here in charge of S. F. Murphy, is a visitor from his home at Jeffersonville, Ind. Ben Jones, trainer of the T. C. Worden stable, reports the two-year-olds fully recovered from the coughing epidemic that visited his stable. Jones is shipping to Churchill Downs shortly after the close of this meeting. Edward McCuan is leaving several horses at Dallas and will take the others to Rockingham Park at the close of the Arlington Downs season. Leo Sylvester, former English jockey, was licensed as agent for Mrs. Floyd West, and he will make apprentice Elmer, Deperinis engagements. Arthur Elrod is here in the interest of the Aurora meeting, which ushers in Illinois spring racing. Jockey F. Eppihimer accepted his first mount of the meeting Tuesday afternoon. Albert Mott has been licensed as agent for the C. A. Marone stable and is booking the mounts for apprentice G. L. Smith and jockey Charles Landolt. Apprentice Charles Stevenson will take a short vacation at his home at Boise, Idaho, at the close of this meeting. He reports to a division of the Mrs. A. M. Creech stable at Aurora. The others of the Creech stable will be vanned to Dallas for that twenty-one day meeting. Max Murphy, who serves as paddock judge here, has been appointed paddock judge at Washington Park. Miss Helen Norfleet, noted New York pianist, visited Arlington Downs Tuesday. In Miss Norfleets party was Mrs. Helen Fouts Casoon, originally from Texas. Miss Norfleet was a student at Kidd Key College, Sherman. Another gala day scheduled for the concluding weeks racing at Arlington Downs will be Wednesday, April 17, when Arlington Day will be featured. Mayor Barrett will head a group of Arlingtons most distinguished citizens, and each race on the program will be dedicated to Arlington concerns, with the city of Arlington sponsoring the Handicap. Several of Paul Waggoners life-long friends honored him with a surprise birthday luncheon in the club house Tuesday. Among the guests were Trav Daniels, judge Joseph A. Murphy, William Daniel, William M. Wallace, Frank Kelly, Mike Freeman, Joe Barr, Leroy Menzing, Guy L. Waggoner, and other
