Whizzaway and Harvey G. O., a stable-mate, were on thetrack early in the morning, but after five-eighths in 1:10, Whizzaway was brought back in blinkers and he went a quarter in :23. The Tranquility Farm Stables Cross Ruff went a handy three-quarters in 1:16, and Eddie J., the hgpe of the Odessa Farms Stable, breezed a half mile in :51. Due to the rains during the night, the training was conducted over the outside track, which was classified as good. Roman Soldier galloped a mile and a half and the Cohort colt was going at a fast clip during the final half mile.
