AGUA CALIENTE ARRIVALS AGUA CALIENTE, IdTexico, May 20. W. C. Merrick, trainer, is bringing in Pomperia, classy three-year-old; Koterita, winner of four races last winter, and eighteen others to the Agua Caliente track this week. These horses recently arrived -at San Ysidro, from Texas, and have been galloping on Merricks half mile track near San Ysidro, and are ready to run. A number are three-year-olds and two-year-olds, Texas-bred by Sun Hawk, sire of Skeeter Hawk and other winners. Bing Crosby purchasedithe contract on apprentice Bill Martin .last " evening. The crooner bought the papers from Hoover Brothers. The lad is 17 years old, rides at , eighty-five pounds, and looks like a fine riding prospect. He will be turned over to Albert" Johnson, who was one of Amer- icas leading riders for -many years.
