1 AURORA TURF NOTES 4 : Monty Weil has taken over the five-year-old Sym Jack to train for Mrs. M. J. Frank. For the second successive week apprentice Charlie Stevensqn led the riders in money earned when he took down 67 for his saddle work. Harold West was second with 63, while R. Tilden had 04 coming. Apprentice Jimmy Wray, who was absent from the saddle for a few days due to a severe cold, attempted to resume riding Monday, but a high temperature developed , about noon and he was rushed to the hospital. Apprentice Danny Brammer was substituted on two of Wrays engagements when he rode Scout Chief and Jolly Rambler. , The seven horses which Phil Reuter unloaded at Washington Park were Roman Soldier, Light, Keep Out, Changeling, Laura S., Kozak and Epaulet. Jockey A. Richard arrived from Dallas, Texas. Richard is affiliated with the Lone Star Stable, which is due to arrive at Washington Park. , Jockey Lester Balaski arrived from Louisville, obtained a license, and accepted four mounts Monday. Out of the eighteen eligibles in the seventh race Monday there were but six of the entrants which were willing to accept the issue, so racing secretary R. A. Leigh declared the race off and ordered one of .the Iwo substitute which he assembled to be used in case of emergency. Sam Gorbet arrived from his home at Carlock, 111., to make arrangements to ship his stable at the conclusion of the Aurora season. Gorbet might campaign at the impending Omaha meeting. Trainer Ike Weil vanned Slim Rosie, Blue Lillian and the two-year-old Grace C. A. from Washington Park to Aurora. The shipment which pulled out of Aurora Sunday for Blue- Bonnets, Montreal, consisted of three carloads. There were forty-seven horses in the consignment belonging to various owners, of which the string of Frankie Sercmba was the greatest in number. Included among the owners that shipped were: L. Rodriguez, two; Rando and Thriffley, five; F. Seremba, ten; E. Bab-cock, two; Valenti and Graffagnini, six; J. Martin, six; Al Dunlap, one; E. J. Doyle, one; M. J. Wellman, two; O. Viau, four; Mrs. Marsch, three; E. Stillman, three, and Kitts and Russell, three. Eugene Bury, who will serve as racing secretary at Omaha, arrived at Aurora Monday. Bury distributed the condition books among the horsemen and signed up several owners who promised to race at the impending Ak-Sar-Ben meeting.
