ELECTRIC GAFF moved up strongly approaching the stretch turn and although bearing out badly in the stretch got to the front in the last eighth to win going away. SWIFT RETURN raced well up, headed the field in the stretch and went fairly well to the end. YOUNG CONARD dropped back after going a short distance but came again on the inside in the stretch and was going well at the finish. LOAFER began slowly, was in close quarters on the far turn while attempting to reach a contending position, was carried wide on the stretch turn and could not get up. OUR MORTGAGE tired in the stretch. KATIE BELLE stopped badly. ANCIENT ROME was in close quarters while racing on the inside. INSTIGATOR was never dangerous. Scratched 24615 Dicky Boy, 104. The latter was slow to get in stride, made a strong move on the outside after leaving the back stretch and although forced to race wide took a short lead in the final eighth only to weaken near the end. SUN THRILLS dropped back when in close quarters approaching the stretch turn but came again when clear. RARE CHANCE showed good speed in paccmaking but tired in the stretch. BOURBON PRINCE was in close quarters when racing well up in the early running. MY LETITIA raced wide on the first turn, moved up strongly on the back stretch, but was done after being in close quarters on the stretch turn. CHANGING WAYS and TAMPA LASS moved up between horses approaching the stretch turn but were caught in close quarters rounding the final bend. BERTRAND was badly outrun all the way. BLUE LILLIAN held a forward position despite meeting with slight interference. MAKE AND BREAK made a strong move around the outside approaching the stretch turn and went well to the end. PROPRIETOR stopped badly after going a half mile. SECRET TRYST tired badly in the stretch. ERIN LAD was forced to race wide. MIDSHIPMAN was going well at the end. Overweight Loloma, 2 pounds. EASTER SUN took a prominent position close up on the outside in the early running, moved forward to catch PANIC BLUES after entering the stretch and holding on well withstood the closing challenge of LEEWARD. The latter came fast on the outside through the stretch and was gaining at the end. SON OF DAY made up ground steadily in the last quarter and finding an opening in the final sixteenth finished well. PANIC BLUES saved ground in the early part, headed the field rounding the stretch turn, but tired in the run home. MY GENTLEMAN made up ground and was going well at the end. POITOU was forced wide but came gamely through the stretch. RUSSET was in close quarters rounding the stretch turn when tiring. TRANSBIRD was outrun all the way and was never a contender.
