ARLINGTON DOWNS VISITORS ARLINGTON, Texas, April 8 Mrs. Ben Miller, whose husband is track superintendent at Hawthorne, Chicago, and whose son, Norman, occupies a like position at the Fair Grounds, Detroit, is at Arlington Downs for a brief visit with her youngest son, Lester, pony boy for the Texas Jockey Club. Mrs. Miller was accompanied by jockey A. Richard and Mrs. Richard. Dorothy Dalton, New York Sun feature writer, visited Arlington Downs, Wednesday. Miss Dalton, in Texa3 for the purpose of gaining sidelights on the forthcoming Centennial celebration, to be observed throughout the Lone Star State, was amazed at the immensity of the Waggoner plant, declaring it to be one of the finest tracks she had ever seen. Escorting the fair New Yorker on her tour of inspection was Jack Gordon, dra- matic critic of the Fort Worth Press.
