Ttennob, Rushaway, Doran, Sangreal and Seventh Heaven in Preparatory Gallops Ariel Cross Works. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 8. With many the eligibles for Saturdays ,000 added Frontier Exposition Handicap and Texa3 Derby being called upon for useful trials over the fast inside track at Arlington Downs Monday morning, the training period, which lasted until late in the morning, was, one of the busiest since the opening. Ttennob, Rushaway, Doran, Sangreal and Seventh Heaven were Derby nominees seen in trials, while Time Supply, Ariel Cross, Our Count and Whiskolo gave indications that they will be ready for their engagements in the Frontier Handicap. Although Time Supply was limited to a three-quarters spin, the son of Time Maker had all of his speed and he turned in the fastest six furlongs of the morning, when he reeled off the distance in 1:13. Tommy Luther handled the Carreaud star and he stepped the quarter in :24 and the half in :48. He finished under light hand riding. Ariel Cross, with Danny Brammer, the leading rider of America, aboard, was sent a mile in 1:43, breezing. The son of Ariel was timed the half mile in :51 and the three-quarters in 1:15. Accompanied by Whereaway, a non-eligible for Saturdays feature, Whiskolo, which made his 1936 debut in auspicious fashion, ran a mile in 1:41, handily, and Whereaway was timed the distance in 1:43. Whiskolo sped over the opening quarter in :23, the half mile in :47 and the three-quarters in 1:13. Doran, also named for the Frontier Handicap, reeled off five-eighths in 1:01, and Sangreal, one of the Milky Way hopes for Derby honors, stepped the same distance in 1:00. He ran the half mile in :47. With Savernake as a companion, Ttennob circled the track in 1:40, and he finished under good hand riding. His fractions were :23, :48 and 1:14. Just to keep him on edge after his impressive triumph in the Louisiana Derby, Rushaway was sent five-eighths in 1:00. Wa-coche traveled with him and the pair stepped the opening half mile in :48. Although he has not returned to the brilliant form that made him the leading handicap performer of the 1935 Arlington spring season, Our Count impressed the work watchers when he ran eight furlongs in 1:44. He went along at an even clip and was timed the half mile in :52 and the three-quarters in 1:18. Chanceview breezed five-eighths in 1:03, and Seventh Heaven, W. C. Goodloes good racer, ran a half mile in :49.
