AURORA TURF NOTES e : s Clarence Davison wired for stall reservations from Arlington Downs for sixteen horses, including Eternal Flash, Show Boy, Captain Red and others. Other riders in the first six of the jockey standing who will come here in addition to Parke are Carlos Mojena, Cuban star who won the Fair Grounds riding championship, and Frank Chojnacki, runner-up to Mojena. In addition to the horses already stabled here, A. G. Tarn will ship the remainder of his stable from Arlington Downs, including Rushaway, Louisiana Derby winner, who will be pointed for the Illinois Derby. Butsey Hernandez will campaign a total of fifteen horses at Aurora," and has two Illinois Derby candidates in Flag Cadet and Lolschen, recent conqueror of Holl Image, Arkansas Derby winner. The latter, owned by William Schmidt, Chicago horseman, is another Illinois nominee. E. K. Bryson will campaign twenty horses at Aurora, including his Derby candidate Carvola, which ran fourth in the Louisiana Derby. Chappel Brothers, Rockford horsemen and breeders, have a total of twenty head to ship to Aurora, including eleven two-year-olds. Rollie Bridwell has two useful horses on the grounds and is one of the early arrivals. General manager Eddy is well pleased with the progress of the work thus far on the four new barns and the new mutuel plant at Aurora. The mutuel plant not only will be the largest in the Chicago district, but will be one of the most complete and modern in the country.
