BLACK HAIR, closest to ROSE CRYSTAL in the early part, headed the latter after going a quarter and went fairly well to the finish. ROSE CRYSTAL tired in the stretch. MAILLIW made up some ground. SOUEASTER showed a flash of early speed. LOU WEST-WOOD ran upon horses heels around the far turn and was forced to take up sharply. CONEJOS suffered interference when LOU WESTWOOD was taken back. ALTOBANK had enough speed to dash to the front soon after the start and holding a short lead over ATOEL to the stretch, drew away in the last eighth when the latter tired. ATOEL displayed her usual speed, but tired under her weight in the stretch. HOWDY ANDY showed improvement to close fast. THE LAKE bore out in the stretch. IRON MOUNTAIN was hard ridden all the way and met with interference from THE LAKE in the stretch. SASHEMUS acted badly at the post and, breaking slowly from outside the stall gate, was never dangerous. Overweight The Lake, 2 pounds; Idler, 2. Corrected weight1 Atocl, 119.
