HUNTS ASSOCIATIONS OFFICERS Henry W. Bull President for 1936 -Aqueduct Granted Permission to Conduct Steeplechase Races. NEW YORK. N. Y., April 9. At a meeting of the board of stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunts Association, held at Aiken, S. C, with F. S. Von Stade presiding, routine business and other matters were passed upon. Applications from trainers and jockeys were granted, as was permission to Aqueduct to hold steeplechase races during the summer and fall meetings. The appointment of stewards to represent the National Steeplechase and Hunts Association at different meetings were passed upon and approved. Election of officers was also held. Three applications for licenses were tabled. They were Henry S. J. Thomas for an amateur certificate and W. Lee Mc-Aviney for trainers license, N. Brown for a jockeys license. The following officers were elected for the year 1936 or until their successors have been named: President, Henry W. Bull; vice-president, F. S. Von Stade; honorary secretary and treasurer, F. S. Von Stade, and secretary, Frank J. Bryan. Frank J. Bryan was appointed handicap-per. The following committees were appointed: Executive H. W. Maxwell, H. W. Sage, Richard Whitney, Henry W. Bull and F. V. Von Stade. License committee A. C. Bostwick, John Strawbridge and F. S. Von Stade. Rules committee A. C. Bostwick, John Strawbridge and R. Whitney. Course committee A. C. Bostwick, J. Strawbridge, F. S. Von Stade and J. E. Widener. The following representatives of the Hunts committee were appointed: A. C. Bostwick, H. W. Bull and E. S. Potter. Harry D. Kirkover and William Almy, Jr., were elected members of the National Steeplechase and Hunts Association. The following stewards will represent the National Steeplechase and Hunts Association at Belmont Park: A. C. Bostwick for the spring meeting, and H. W. Bull for the fall meeting. H. W. Maxwell will serve at Aqueduct, while H. W. Sage or F. S. Von Stade will serve at Saratoga.
