PANSYS FIRST moved up with a rush, responded to strong urging, failed to menace the winner, but held the others safe. RUTH SCOUT worked her way forward steadiiy and finished strongly. LYRA showed a good effort. MISS GRAVITY began rapidly but shuffled back soon afterward, made up ground in the drive. ROLLED NOTES had no mishaps. MIRELLA was outrun. PRAIRIE BELL quit. WARDELL ORMONT, away fast and never far back, responded well after reaching the stretch, took command in the last stages and outfinished DENVER LAD. The latter, forced to lose ground early, moved up rapidly in the drive and just failed to get up. LASSIES SON, well up from the start and fn close quarters, forged to the front in the final eighth but tired near the end. LONDON BLAZE saved ground when racing forwardly but tired after reaching the lead. GALLERNE, used up in pacemaking, stopped under pressure. JOHN DOE made up ground. PLAYMAY, in motion when the start came, was unable to withstand GALLERNE, forced the pace under good urging, but quit badly in the last eighth. HAZEL EYE was outrun.
