BRILLIANT LIGHT showed the most speed from the start, rapidly increased his advantage after going to the inside on the turn, but tired and had little left. ASYOUWEKE, far back for five-eighths and raced wide the final three-eighths, closed strongly in a fine effort. BOHEMIAN LASS, well up from the start, was in close quarters on the far turn and rallied mildly entering the stretch, but weakened in the last three-sixteenths. CROWS FLIGHT, rank at the post and caught in close quarters soon after the start, made up some ground while racing on the inside on the turn and, coming with a rush on the outside in the stretch, disposed of STAIRS for an easv win. The latter displayed keen speed for the going under hustling tactics, but weakened. DARK FRIEND showed a good effort. EQUANIMITY began well, but dropped back slightly entering the stretch and was in close quarters approaching the finish. JAY BEE JAY tired. SOUTHLAND BEAU finished strongly. LINNIE KATE and SHAWKA began slowly. WEAPON showed nothing. TANKIE raced wide and dropped out of it on the turn. CHIMNEY TOP raced wide. RAMROD also lost ground and did not threaten. CHEROKEE RED was outrun. CANDESCENT began poorlv. The latter, also showing speed from the start and raced very wide early, fought it out gamely. WATERSPLASH dropped far out of it, but made up ground in the stretch. GILBERT ELSTON weakened. DONNAHONA, crowded back by GAY DOG on the first turn and, impeded by the winner leaving the back stretch, tired in the final eighth. DAMASCENE had no mishaps. ENIZ showed little.
